History

EarthShare Gardens is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) organization whose mission is to produce organic food as our way of caring for ourselves, each other and Earth.

EarthShare Gardens began with a meeting of community members and ULL students in January, 2002 and is the first Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program in Acadiana.

EarthShare's CSA Garden is located at 412 Carmel Avenue behind the old Holay Rosary Institute. A portion of land is dedicated to a cooperatively run Community Supported Agriculture garden. Shareholders pay a subscription price each season to receive a portion of the harvests from the garden. A donation garden provides fresh, organic produce to sell in the North Lafayette neighborhood.
