Natural insecticides include: diatomaceos earth, neem oil, pyrethrum. Peel one bulb of organic garlic, then one half onion and add one fresh hot habanero or cayenne pepper to a mason jar. Add a few inches of water then blend with kitchen blender "wand" (blender also works). Screw on mason jar lid tightly and place in sun for three days. Glass container is preffered for this step. Strain into pump sprayer and add plenty of water to dilute and ADD YUCCA EXTRACT to adhere garlic mixture to the leafs and fruit. Yucca also makes liquid fertilizers adhere to soil and roots and provides beneficial hormones and sugars. For more on Yucca Extract see this link

Search "biodynamic" teas and treatments online. Crushed quartz powder mixed into water by stirring and creating a vortex 20 seconds in one direction and then reverse, creating chaos and a fractal of infitestimal little vortex's, and reverse again after 20 seconds. The quarts aligns the crystalline structure of the water and the vortex decreases the surface tension, that then makes disolved nutrients start to clump together in a extremely fine suspended colloidal solution, rendering the nutrients bio-available. Also, when a plant's brix content is very high, and insect bites the tissue, the cell is full of alkaloids, and the insect cannot offgas the alkaloid rich leaf juice. Therefore increasing the plants growth and maintaining momentum is key.

Tomato roots should be mulched heavily and have a deep hole to grow into if possible. Also, foliar feeding creates an aerobic layer of bacteria on the plant that protects it from insect and virus and molds. Apparantly sick plants give off infra-red radiation that TELLS insects that they are ready to be recycled into soil.
N-P-K ratio's are very important. Shoots-Fruits-Roots. Nitrogen for green growth, Phosphorus for flower and fruit production, and Potassium for root growth.

Start tomato seeds overwinter and then plant as early as possible into well composted soil that is not compacted. Foliar feed at first with compost tea, groom accordingly, and then introduce High Phosphorus Bat Guano (1-13-0 or similiar) into compost tea solution.

Burn clean hardwood and collect white ashes and store in bag or jar. Add this high potassium (Pot-Ash) ash to the compost tea when you are brewing, or mix with water and drench the roots. The combination of Phosphorus and Potassium for fruits and roots with create amazing organically grown fruits. Increase complex sugars by using organic molasses or another clean source of sugar/micronutrients.

Heirloom tomatoes vary quite a bit, so be patient and grow out many types until you find the tomato that breaks your heart.
